BONDAWEB is a glue like substance whereby you can bond two pieces of fabric together, so ideal for applique. It comes with a backing layer. You place the glue side on the fabric and iron on the backing layer. You then remove the backing layer and place a second piece of fabric on the top and iron a second time. Thus fusing both fabrics together. It is washable and dry cleanable.

Pelmet Vilene - for ONE metre

FOR stabilising. This is for a heavyweight vilene and referred to as pelmet vilene.

PELMET VILENE Is a specialist product used for interfacing products such as in waistbands in dressmaking and pelmets in curtain making. It is also used by a large amount of crafts people where you want a firm backing or finish, such as for a firm backing behind wall hangings. It can also be folded dyed and then stitched into to make interesting boxes and bags and the like. Even for jewellery making for backing hand crafted brooches etc.

It is washable and dry cleanable.

VILENE INTERFACING this is a medium weight iron-on interfacing which is ideally suited to cotton and cotton blended fabrics giving them a crisp clean handle.

FOR stabilising your fabric while sewing.

SEW IN FABRIC STABILISER this is a lightweight sew-in stabiliser. It is used to support and stabilise fabric for all kinds of machine and hand sewing, including applique, embroidery, darning, monogramming etc.

Instructions that are on back of pack. Place stabilser behind the fabric to be sewn. Work through both layers. On completion tear the stabiliser away.

Avalon and other water soluble fabrics

Avalon water soluble fabric

FOR creative embroidery work and stabilising. The pack includes detailed information and instructions together with ideas and motifs

This is a transparent fabric that can be stitched onto by way of free machine embroidery or even hand stitch. You can make very lacy patterns with it. When complete you place in cold water and it will and dissolve leaving no residue. It is best used within a hoop especially when using for the first time. OUT OF STOCK

It can also act a stabiliser for fabrics such as toweling and jersey

Avalon PLUS water soluble fabric

FOR creative embroidery work and stabilising. Instructions for use on pack.

size 50 cm x 1 metre

This is a thicker more solid fabric than the basic Avalon. It works however in the same sort of way and is water soluble but adds that extra support if you want to stitch heavy machine stitching on fine fabrics or it can be stitched more intensely just on the Avalon without tearing.

You can use free machine embroidery or even hand stitch. You can make very lacy patterns with it. When complete you place in lukewarm water and it will dissolve leaving no residue. It is best used within a hoop especially when using for the first time.

Instructions that are on back of pack. Place water soluble stabilser in hoop over the right side of fabric. Embroider your design, remove excess water soluble fabric and the remainder will rinse away in water. Ideal for high pile fabrics such as toweling.
